The Toronto Transit Commission (TTC)
The Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) has a reputation as one of North America's cleanest, most efficient, and safest transit systems. A subway system is linked with bus, streetcar and light rail transit to get you anywhere on one fare, provided it's a one-way trip with no stop-overs. You can travel on the TTC every day of the week.

On weekdays and Saturdays, subway trains run every few minutes from about 6 a.m. until 1:30 a.m. On Sundays, they run from about 9 a.m. to 1:30 a.m.

Streetcars & Buses

Most buses and streetcars start running about 5 a.m. and run to about 1:30 a.m. weekdays, with reduced service on weekends. There are also a number of bus and streetcar routes that run 24 hours a day. Buses and streetcars are equipped with route and destination information signs. Schedule information is posted at most major route intersections.
