Subject Title
Industry Relations

Subject Description
Guest lecturers from all areas of the radio industry, from recent graduates to industry veterans, and from station owners to CRTC board members will be presented to the students. Their advice on the industry and information about the trials and tribulations of broadcasting will be invaluable for the student.

Prerequisites:
RTV 101 - Introduction to Broadcasting
RTV 111 - Radio Production I

Corequisites:
RTV 211 - Radio Production II
RTV 518 - Music Programming

Credit Status
Broadcasting - Radio Diploma Program

Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this subject the student will be able to:

1. Understand the primary job functions at a commercial radio station.
2. Gain insight into the hiring process at many radio stations.
3. Develop good listening skills.
