Field Audio Production

Subject Description
This subject continues the development of knowledge and skills in audio production begun in Audio Production I. The emphasis is on the production of audio tracks for video and multimedia productions. Recording, re-recording, and post-production editing techniques are included and digital audio recording techniques are introduced.

Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this subject the student will be able to:

1. Use appropriately the theories, procedures, and techniques required to create effective audio productions.

2. Use the appropriate technical terms required to communicate effectively with technical personnel involved during an audio production.

3. Demonstrate how to operate technical equipment to complete audio productions.

4. Demonstrate a good understanding of digital audio procedures and technology.

5. Record voice and sound effects.

6. Edit recorded material into a complete assignment.

7. Copy and mix recorded material.

8. Plan and execute a multi-track mix.

9. Plan and execute digital audio production projects.
