Subject Title
Sound I

Subject Description
This course introduces the student to basic sound theory and production for multimedia applications. Students will learn the basics of computer recording techniques, and digital control devices. Production topics covered include: microphone types and placements; use of audio suites; sound capturing; editing with Protools; mastering for multimedia; and conversion to different file formats, especially online. Students will be required to create digital recordings for a multimedia production.
