Integrated Project I

Subject Description
This important component of the post-graduate program provides students with a blend of theory, hands-on practical exposure and applied research to benefit business organizations, while allowing the opportunity for students to specialize in their chosen career fields. Projects will be developed by integrating the skills acquired in the program and may involve on-site research and/or third-party industry related projects. Researching and presenting sustainable solutions to business problems are core tenets of this course.

Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this subject the student will be able to:

  1. Identify root causes of a global business opportunity and develop recommendations that leads to future strategic planning for improvement.
  2. Identify and assess global business best practices by using applied research approach supported with sustainability standards.
  3. Interpret information and data to define scope of planning the business strategy.
  4. Present by using story telling approach, the outcomes of applied research, by preparing communication material for a range of audiences.
  5. Apply interpersonal team building and leadership skills to work independently and in teams.

Camera Use and Recordings - Synchronous (Live) Classes
Synchronous (live) classes may be delivered in person, in a Flexible Learning space, or online through a Seneca web conferencing platform such as MS Teams or Zoom. Flexible Learning spaces are equipped with cameras, microphones, monitors and speakers that capture and stream instructor and student interactions, providing an in-person experience for students choosing to study online.

Students joining a live class online may be required to have a working camera in order to participate, or for certain activities (e.g. group work, assessments), and high-speed broadband access (e.g. Cable, DSL) is highly recommended. In the event students encounter circumstances that impact their ability to join the platform with their camera on, they should reach out to the professor to discuss. Live classes may be recorded and made available to students to support access to course content and promote student learning and success.
