Production Project

Subject Description
In this course the student will be led though the experience of working within the Art Department of a next-gen game studio by creating an in-engine ?game scene?.  This project is done within a group structure and specific roles will be assigned to students. Other topics covered in this subject will include: project management, planning, budgeting, scheduling, teamwork, pipelines, professionalism, time management, conflict resolution and the business of game development.

Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this subject the student will be able to:

  1. Integrate original artwork into a next-gen game engine.
  2. Develop asset lists and time estimations for art related tasks on a team based game project.
  3. Follow typical art pipelines and take game artwork through entire lifecycle (concept to playable).
  4. Work within a team environment and provide positive contributions to a common project.
  5. Follow an art director, producer and other lead’s instructions and maintain professional habits  and attitude.
