Subject Title
Legal Computer Applications

Subject Description
Through the preparation, management, and formatting of business and legal correspondence and other documents, this subject focuses on mastering intermediate and selected advanced skills in the use of Microsoft Word.  This subject is designed to further develop students' knowledge of word processing and legal software by means of assigned exercises, gaining insight into the duties and responsibilities required in the current office environment.

Credit Status
This is a credit subject applicable to the Court and Tribunal Administration Diploma Program offered through the School of Legal and Public Administration.

Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this subject the student will be able to:


1. Edit and format word documents;

2. Format characters and use help;

3. Format paragraphs;

4. Format documents;

5. Enhance and customize documents;

6. Create and format tables;

7. Enhance documents with special features;

8. Format using special features;

9.Demonstrate an attitude of professionalism, as evidenced by an ability to meet deadlines, complete assignments and perform tests and in-class assignments as scheduled;
